A Context of These Times
We continue to be emerging from a culture founded on rape and domination of the earth, indigenous peoples and the feminine. It is this untempered, adolescent, ego-centric masculine that has brought us to this point of eco-degradation, abandon of care for the web of life, for the water, for the future generations. Vision after vision has shaped me to devote my life to nurturing women back out from hiding. Yes, we need healing and wholing for the masculine, yes we need healing and wholing for people of color, yes we need to protect what indigenous cultures are left, yes we need activists protecting the still wild places. There is so much to devote to in this Great Turning and a place for all with heart to lean in. My place is in the temple remembering women to Gaia, to their voice, to their power and to their medicine.
I am appalled that young women are still being unprotected, untended, untaught about the beauty and gifts of the feminine during adolescence. I grieve seeing the self doubt, isolation, overwhelm and unnurtured soul beauty in so many women when I see how it could be. I see the depth and richness of the web of women tending the hearth, the maidens delighting the children, the mothers turning the very wheel of life at the center of community, the wild women shedding their roles and walking in communion with the forest and mystery, the medicine women bringing soul food to her people and the crone holding the pillar of the worlds in view and the keel of her people steady between the ancients and the future ones. There is so much to reknit, remember, unearth. And we develop trust, courage, and vision to find our place in the cloth through following our heart on the soul journey.
The Soul Journey is long and arduous, with dark stretches through rubble and bones, and rapturous ascents when the epic landscapes traversed, and the awesome patterns of the Great Tapestry come into view.

My Devotion
I am devoted to weaving earthen, mythic culture through supporting women during key life passages to heal their wounds, find their voice and courage, claim their magic and cultivate their unique soul medicine.
My Journey
I set out on my journey 30 years ago to discover what I then called the Universal Truths. One of my greatest findings is that we are indeed malleable and have the power to change our beliefs and stories, and that we are truly creators. We can change our reality and when we align to our soul, find our center, our passion, our voice and work together, we can change our collective reality.
It is not always easy to shed conditionings, look into the shadow and walk our truth. It can be messy, it can be confusing, it can be lonely. But the depths we plumb and the insights and vistas we are given the grace to look out upon when we trust and do the work are truly awesome, rich and poignant and cannot be compared to staying within the narrow confines of society’s norm.
This is where I meet you- as a way bearer, supporter, nourisher and soul-loving rallier- giving ear, reflection, heart and inspiration to support you on your journey to fulling your soul purpose.
At 20, I quit my studies at Cornell University to travel. I wanted to see the diversity of life. I wanted to live on the current that Spirit provides when we let go the banks of the river. I let go- seeking to wash away the norms, value system and blinders I was raised with. I found deep connection to the Earth and the subculture that was picking up tribal ways so familiar to our collective memory- rekindled in the forests, with fire, with drum, with song, with coming together in mutual support to figure out what was core to human community before the infrastructure of this modern society with its competition and separation was built.
I soon became pregnant and started my initiation into the herbal world, developing close allies with a number of plants. Wherever I stayed long enough, I planted a garden and lined my shelves with herbs, learning what I could through personal experience and books.
I co-started an intentional community in western North Carolina in the late 90’s that I envisioned to be an Ark to collect all species of healing plants that would grow happily in the sweet and fertile Appalachian mountains. Many passed through our land for a day or a season, it was a sanctuary for drifters and dreamers. I had deeper lessons to learn though before putting down such roots and I found myself calling for stronger spiritual guidance and the tried and true knowledge of age old traditions and elders.
My bootcamp in deep soul work was Islam, and Spirit led me to join an Afghan family where I spent the next 13 years in an underworld journey and jihad. It was here that I went into the cocoon and looked at everything I had ever done and thought, and through the crucible of dissolution reduced my personality and ego to the core of my being. One day, after 7 years of excruciating dismemberment, I sat up from my bed, and there was quiet. That gripping hood of arrogance, entitlement, self aggrandizement, self pity, pettiness and separation that I had dominated my inner world, had just slipped from my head and for the first time in my life, I had space.
From this deep dark crucible I grew again, my slate burned clean. I asked for guidance in every choice before me and over the next 6 years, step by step i came back to the surface and I found a depth of love, humility and compassion that I had never known before.
In 2013, emerging from this chrysalis, I felt a love and capacity so expansive and profound, my soul became unshakable, undaunted by others and thrived on bounding down the path of my life work picking up tools, expanding my edges and deepening my understanding of the extraordinary journey of soul. On fire with passion i explored deeply the realms of mystery living in between worlds listening for my deepest prayer for world. I went into a formal 3 year herbal training in western and chinese medicine, a 3 year journey studying and practicing core shamanism and a 2.5 year training in Biodynamic craniosacral therapy. I experienced my life blooming before me and claimed every opportunity to empower my vision and the communities in which I felt deep resonance. In 2014 I began hosting women’s circles which began my apprenticeship to the incredible healing and evolutionary power of sharing heart in council, song and ceremony.
In 2018 I experienced another descent and was abducted into the underworld by Wild Woman, She Who Speaks for Serpent. Emerging from this descent in 2019, the 13 Moons program was born. Recognizing the unique soul journey of women and the importance of doing our healing work in the amplified vessel of sisterhood, I dove into the gestation and birth of my life work. In 2020 I was introduced to the Animas Valley Institute and my evolution has been deeply informed by this extra-ordinary body of work which has guided me even deeper into Mystery and the imperative and opportunity of these times.
