I am incredibly excited to offer this gardening class! And while it may sound funny to be offering a gardening class online and in winter, it actually feels like the perfect time to set vision, gather ideas, learn about herbs, receive gardening knowledge and get you fully ready to put shovel to soil come spring and create a magical place to sing Gaia’s praises, deepen your relationships with herbs and make your medicine.
The class is designed for those living in the northeast to northern midwest United States who have a patch of earth to create with and desire to enter a dance with Gaia. Even if you have just a 10 by 10 area to work with, that is enough. Even if you have just a deck with space for container gardening, that will work. But ideally, you have a bit more room to create your living apothecary of annuals and perennials in a garden that inspires your senses, uplifts your spirits and brings you home to the innocent and timeless relationship of collecting leaves, flowers, berries and roots to brew into medicine for wellness and delight.
To step outside your door and gather culinary herbs, flowers and leaves for tea, store seeds, berries and roots for winter brews, cultivate dye plants and sacred herbs to burn in prayer is one of the most enriching and settling things we can do to reconnect to our nature. Through attuning to the rhythms of the year, the cycles from seedling to seed, and the co-creation with Gaia, the garden has SO much wisdom to teach us about life.
Come home to the green and scents of earth. Come play with Gaia!

Outline and What You Receive
Courting the Land
We begin by courting Gaia- the land, the spirits, the elements, the moon and the plants. Coming into deeper relationship of listening and seeing.
Learning Medicinal Herbs
Learn the properties, cultivation and growing habits of key medicinal allies that grow well in the northeast.
Vision and Design
Share ideas, gather inspiration, create a ceremony of intention and begin visioning and designing your garden.
Cultivation techniques
Learn about soil life, bed preparation, seed starting, cultivation techniques and begin drawing up your planting plan.
Setting up Home Apothecary
Tips on gathering, drying and storing herbs and setting up your home apothecary.
This class is perfect for herb lovers of any level who are ready to deepen their relationship with Gaia and plant medicine and apprentice to her in the classroom of the garden.
